Amoxicillin Sodium
Main ingredient: Amoxicillin Sodium.
Appearance: Amoxicillin raw materials are usually white or off white crystalline powders with a slightly bitter taste. Its sodium salt is a white or off white powder or crystal, odorless or slightly odorous, slightly bitter in taste, hygroscopic, soluble in water or ethanol, insoluble in ether.
Pharmacological effects: Belonging to the β - lactam class of antibiotics. By inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall peptides, it exerts bactericidal effects and has good antibacterial activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Haemophilus influenzae, and other bacteria.
Function and use: Mainly used to treat infections caused by Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin, it can be used for respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella, Haemophilus, Streptococcus, etc. in cattle, Escherichia coli enteritis in calves, respiratory and urogenital infections caused by sensitive bacteria in dogs and cats, etc.
Usage and dosage: When taken orally, 10mg per 1kg body weight for calves and 10-20mg per 1kg body weight for dogs and cats, twice a day for 5 consecutive days. When injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly, cattle should take 6-10mg per 1kg body weight, and dogs and cats should take 5-10mg per 1kg body weight, once a day for 5 consecutive days. It can also be used for drinking water or mixing materials. Usually, 1000-2000 kilograms of water can be added per 100 grams of raw materials for drinking water, or 1000 kilograms of mixed materials can be added.
Adverse reactions: Occasional allergic reactions may occur, and the injection site may be irritating.
Caution: Animals allergic to penicillin are prohibited. To avoid gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting and nausea in animals, it is recommended to take it orally after feeding.
Rest period: 20 days for oral administration in cattle, 25 days for injection, and 4 days for milk disposal.
