[Main Composition] Iodine
[Description] This drug is a reddish brown liquid.
[Indications]
1. It has analgesic and antibacterial effects on symptoms such as skin and mucosal ulceration and suppuration caused by viral diseases including foot-and-mouth disease, sheep pox, contagious ecthyma and peste des petits ruminants.
2. It has a highly effective killing effect on various skin diseases caused by bacterial, fungal, and parasitic dermatitis.
3. It is indicated for emergency intervention against common bacterial diarrhea, viral diarrhea, stress-induced diarrhea, postpartum physiological diarrhea, and diarrhea outbreaks during seasonal transitions in newborn lambs and calves.
[Dosage and Administration]
Topical application or spraying: Apply the undiluted solution directly to the affected areas or ulcers by topical application or spraying, 2~3 times daily for 2~3 consecutive days.
Oral drenching: 10~20 mL per dose for lambs; 50~100 mL per dose for calves, twice daily for 2~3 consecutive days.
[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when administered according to the recommended dosage and administration.
[Precautions] (1) Contraindicated in animals allergic to iodine.
(2) The solution loses disinfecting activity once it turns white or pale yellow.
(3) Do not combine with mercury-containing drugs.
[Withdrawal Period] Not required.
