[Main Ingredients] Vitamin C

[Properties] This product is a colorless to light yellow clear liquid.

[Pharmacological Actions] Vitamin C forms a reversible redox system with dehydrogenated vitamin C in the body, which plays an important role in biological redox reactions and cellular respiration. Vitamin C involved in amino acid metabolism and the synthesis of neurotransmitters, collagen and tissue intercellular substances can reduce capillary permeability, promote iron absorption in the intestine, enhance the body's resistance to infection, and enhance the liver's detoxification ability, etc.

Vitamin C is widely distributed in tissues throughout the body, with a plasma protein binding rate of about 25%. It is metabolized in the liver, and is mainly excreted in the urine in its original form. When in excess, it is metabolized into oxalic acid.

[Drug Interaction] (1) Combined use with salicylates and barbiturates can increase the excretion of vitamin C.

(2) Compatibility in solutions of vitamin B2, alkaline drugs and iron ions can reduce the efficacy of the drug, so it is not suitable for combined use.

[Action and Use] A water-soluble vitamin. Mainly used for vitamin C deficiency, fever, chronic wasting diseases, etc.

[Dosage and Administration] Intramuscular injection: single dose: horses, 10~30ml; cows, 20~40ml; sheep, pigs, 2~5ml; dogs, 0.2~1ml.

[Adverse Reactions] When administered in high doses, there is an increased risk of urate, oxalate, or cystine crystal formation.

[Precautions] (1) When administered in high doses, it can acidify urine and increase the excretion of certain organic alkaline drugs.

(2) It should not be mixed for injection with multiple antibiotics such as aminoglycosides, β-lactams and tetracyclines.

[Withdrawal Period] Not required.
