[Main Composition] Dimethicone

[Description] This drug is a white or off-white tablet.

[Pharmacological Actions] This drug exhibits low surface tension. Upon oral administration, it rapidly reduces the surface tension of foam liquid film in the rumen, causing small gas bubbles to rupture and coalesce into larger bubbles, which are subsequently expelled via eructation, thereby producing a defoaming effect. Its defoaming action is rapid, with observable effects within 5 min of administration, reaching peak efficacy at 15~30 min.

[Indications] This drug is an antifoaming agent, indicated for the treatment of frothy bloat.

[Dosage and Administration] Oral administration (single dose): 60~100 tablets for cattle; 20~40 tablets for sheep/goats.

[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when administered according to the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] A small amount of warm water should be given before and after administration to reduce irritation.

[Withdrawal Period] Not required.
