All 21 passenger ferry routes in Zhoushan have been suspended, and nearly 30,000 passengers have been evacuated from the islands ahead of schedule.

Due to the impact of strong winds at sea, as of 3:00 PM on August 6, 21 water passenger transport routes in Zhoushan have been suspended; the passenger ferry route from Zhujiajian to Putuo Mountain will cease operations entirely after the 8:00 PM departure on August 6, with an expected suspension of 4–5 days. At that time, all 72 water passenger transport routes in Zhoushan will be suspended.

As the only fully island-based county in Zhejiang, Shengsi seized the window of opportunity before the typhoon's impact to initiate passenger evacuation efforts in advance, coordinating transportation capacities for islands such as Sijiao, Huaniao, Gouqi, and Shengshan to guide passengers in orderly, phased evacuations. Since Zhoushan Maritime Bureau activated a Level IV typhoon emergency response at 6:00 PM on August 3, nearly 30,000 passengers have been safely evacuated from the islands of Shengsi and Dongji. Starting from 2:00 PM on August 6, all 14 water passenger transport routes heading toward Shengsi have been fully suspended.

To ensure the safety and orderliness of the entire passenger evacuation process, maritime authorities have relied on the work mechanism of the Zhoushan North (Zhejiang-Shanghai) Water Passenger Transport Safety Governance Demonstration Zone to strictly implement refined control measures in the typhoon prevention plan. Utilizing smart maritime systems, VTS, and other information-based regulatory platforms, dynamic inspections and monitoring have been conducted on passenger transport routes and docked passenger ships within the jurisdiction, with full tracking of vessel navigation and anchoring dynamics. Comprehensive typhoon hazard inspections for passenger ships have been carried out using drones, patrol boats, and on-site dock inspections, focusing on verifying the condition of vessel navigation equipment and anchoring facilities. Passenger transport companies have been urged to strictly fulfill their primary responsibility for safety production and scientifically allocate evacuation transport schedules. Emergency duty and monitoring have been strengthened simultaneously, with typhoon warnings and suspension notices being rolled out through multiple channels, striving to build a robust maritime safety defense during passenger evacuation.

Maritime authorities remind travelers planning to visit islands during the summer vacation to closely monitor official typhoon warnings and updates on route suspensions and resumptions, and to adjust travel plans accordingly. During the typhoon's impact, it is advised to temporarily postpone trips to coastal islands in Zhejiang. All docked and navigating vessels must continuously track changes in the typhoon's path, strictly implement duty and inspection protocols, and carry out windproof reinforcement measures item by item to ensure vessel safety.
