The name of the "CIIE" vessel unveiled at the 9th China International Import Expo
On November 5, at the China COSCO Shipping booth of the 9th China International Import Expo, COSCO Shipping Energy organized a themed event titled "Connecting Global Energy, Embracing the CIIE Commitment." The event showcased digital and intelligent innovation achievements, signed strategic cooperation agreements in multiple fields, and announced the naming of a newly built Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) as "CIIE." Using these ocean giants as a medium, the event conveyed a vision of openness, cooperation, and mutual benefit.
Lin Ji, Director and General Manager of COSCO Shipping Group; Ge Hong, Deputy Director of the China International Import Expo Bureau; Ren Yongqiang, Assistant General Manager of COSCO Shipping Group, Chairman of COSCO Shipping Energy, and Party Secretary; along with representatives from domestic and international partners such as Huajin Group, Sinopec Fuel Oil, and Purus, attended the event.

Furthermore, COSCO Shipping Energy showcased its "E-series" digital application matrix, covering customer service, market analysis, business operations, fleet management, intelligent navigation, and safe operations. Among these, the E-Navi Energy Shipping Big Data Platform integrates global ship, port, cargo flow, and market information to create a comprehensive panorama of global energy shipping. It explores the building of a "world model" for energy shipping, providing digital support for market analysis, resource allocation, and business decision-making.
Simultaneously, COSCO Shipping Energy signed a tripartite cooperation intention letter with Northern Huajin Group and COSCO Shipping Container Lines, and separately signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Company and Purus. These efforts actively promote energy collaboration from "point-to-point" to full supply chain integration, jointly building an efficient and collaborative global energy supply chain ecosystem with partners.
At this year's CIIE, COSCO Shipping Energy set up an independent exhibition area within the COSCO Shipping Group booth for the first time, adopting a more focused perspective to showcase its energy transportation business and integrated service capabilities. The exhibition area highlighted key segments such as oil products, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), new energy, and chemicals. It comprehensively presented well-known supply chain brands such as "COSCO Jincheng" and "COSCO Global," vividly illustrating the company's transition from specialized transportation to integrated supply chain services.
The company also showcased its continued exploration of green and low-carbon development, spanning safe and efficient ship operations, digital intelligent navigation, low-carbon and environmentally-friendly technological applications, and a global collaborative network. These efforts have built a robust energy logistics service capability that has drawn widespread attention, fully demonstrating COSCO Shipping Energy's critical role in promoting the stable development of the global energy supply chain.
From the signing of strategic agreements to the official debut of the "CIIE" ship, COSCO Shipping Energy once again exemplified its corporate mission of "Connecting the World, Delivering Energy." Facing the deepening globalized energy market and waves of industry transformation, COSCO Shipping Energy remains committed to its vision of becoming "an outstanding leader in the global energy and chemical supply chain." By leveraging its strengths in global operations management, driving innovation in energy logistics, green and low-carbon development, and digitalized shipping, it continues to propel high-quality international energy cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, contributing robustly to the stability, efficiency, and safety of the global energy supply chain.
