The article reports that the first case of mutual recognition of sea-going ship inspection in the Yangtze River Delta region has successfully landed in Yangshan Port. When the Yangshan Port Maritime Safety Administration instructed an Anhui ship with three safety defects to inspect, it actively guided the ship owner to apply for temporary inspection nearby through the "Maritime Safety APP" in accordance with the "Implementation Plan for Deepening the Pilot Implementation Plan for Mutual Recognition of Ship Inspection in Yangtze River Delta Region" implemented on January 1, 2026, and coordinated the inspection agency to track the rectification progress, finally completing the inspection and issuing a report, thus realizing closed-loop management of the whole process. This case has effectively solved the inspection problem of "time-consuming and inconvenient in the local area" faced by ships operating in different places for a long time. Through the new mode of "nearby application, nearby inspection and nearby certification", the efficiency of maritime service has been improved and the operating cost of enterprises has been reduced. This practice verifies the operability of the mutual recognition mechanism at the grass-roots level, provides replicable experience for the integrated reform of ship inspection in the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole country, and marks the progress of regional ship inspection collaborative governance from "point breakthrough" to "system integration.
