On April 22, 2024, the China Container Industry Association announced the launch of a green product evaluation system in Beijing, which is the first voluntary green product evaluation system in my country's container industry. The system comprehensively evaluates the green level of container products from the five dimensions of resources, energy, environment, quality and low carbon, and adopts the three-terminal collaborative mode of association management platform, enterprise independent declaration and third-party independent review. As an important part of the system, the association discloses the carbon footprint of products in the form of "one code traceability" for the first time, that is, the carbon emissions of products from raw material processing, transportation, production to sales, which is regarded as the "green ID card" of containers ". In addition, the association also released the first batch of green container products, and 18 products of CIMC Container (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huanyu Logistics Equipment Co., Ltd. and other enterprises have reached the level of green benchmark products. China Container Industry Association is the only container industry chain industry organization in China, with nearly 500 members.

　　According to Huang Tianhua, president of the China Container Industry Association, this system comprehensively evaluates the green level of containers from five aspects: resources, energy, environment, quality, and low carbon. The evaluation adopts a three-end collaborative model involving the association's management platform, enterprise self-declaration, and third-party independent review.

　　Huang Tianhua stated that as part of the evaluation system, the association has publicly disclosed the carbon footprint of products for the first time using a "traceability code" format. Carbon footprint refers to the amount of carbon emissions generated during the process of raw material processing, transportation, production, and sales of a product. It is also an important indicator for measuring the environmental friendliness of a product during this process, serving as the "green ID card" of containers.

Among them, 18 products from companies such as CIMC Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Universal Logistics Equipment Co., Ltd. have reached the level of green benchmark products.
