On March 27, Liu Wei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of the Ministry of Transport, presided over a departmental meeting to convey and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, and to research and deploy measures for implementation; listened to reports on the ministry's service for the rural revitalization strategy and the promotion of the "Four Good Rural Roads" construction, and reviewed the "2026 Work Points for Continuously Promoting High-Quality Development of 'Four Good Rural Roads'".

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Xiong'an New Area in Hebei and the symposium on advancing high-quality construction and development of Xiong'an New Area. Efforts should be made to support the high-quality construction and development of Xiong'an New Area. The external transportation with multi-directional radiation in Xiong'an New Area should be improved, a fast and efficient transportation network should be constructed, the hub function of Xiong'an should be enhanced, station-city integration should be deepened, green and low-carbon transportation development should be promoted, transportation safety resilience should be improved, and efforts should be made to handle transportation matters for the people. The deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation should be promoted, the application of "artificial intelligence + transportation" scenarios should be deepened, and a digital and intelligent transportation corridor should be created.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discussions and instructions on "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers" work, and to combine them with the thorough study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th Fourth Plenary Session of the Party and the Central Economic Work Conference, the Central Rural Work Conference, and the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on further improving the construction of "Four Good Rural Roads". The modernization of the rural transportation system should be accelerated, and the high-quality development of "Four Good Rural Roads" should be continuously promoted to provide transportation service guarantees for solidly advancing comprehensive rural revitalization and promoting urban-rural integration development. A new round of rural road enhancement actions should be deeply implemented, the construction of regional group-style rural network roads should be promoted in a coordinated manner, and the level of external and internal connectivity in rural areas should be improved; hidden dangers in rural roads and their bridges and tunnels should be investigated and rectified, the rural road disaster prevention and reduction system should be improved, and the safety resilience of rural transportation infrastructure should be enhanced; the long-term mechanism for rural road maintenance and renovation should be improved, and a dynamic evaluation mechanism centered on the rate of excellent and medium roads should be established to improve the management and maintenance level of rural roads; the orderly implementation of bus line passenger transportation transformation, rural passenger and freight postal integration development quality improvement and efficiency actions should be promoted, and the integration of rural roads with tourism, culture, and other industries should be continued, along with targeted assistance and counterpart support work. A correct view of political achievements should be established and practiced, consciously following the rules, and solidly promoting the implementation and effectiveness of various tasks.
