Land-Sea New Corridor Operation Co., Ltd. has been selected as one of the “Second Batch of National Cases Demonstrating Effective Reduction of Society-Wide Logistics Costs.”
In April this year, under the guidance of the Economic and Trade Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released the "Second Batch of Cases Effectively Reducing Logistics Costs for the Whole Society," announcing 21 outstanding national cases in five areas: integration and innovation of industrial and supply chains, cultivation of new logistics productivity, green and low-carbon logistics transformation, enhancement of logistics hub capabilities, and extension and expansion of international logistics. The case submitted by Chongqing's New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd., titled "Cross-Regional Collaboration to Facilitate Automotive 'Going Global' with Cost Reduction, Speed Enhancement, and Efficiency Improvement," was successfully selected in the field of international logistics extension and expansion.
This case focuses on showcasing the main practices of the New Land-Sea Corridor Company in implementing the "JSQ + Ro-Ro Ship" rail-sea intermodal transport model, expanding logistics solutions for automotive KD parts, and taking the lead in building a safe and efficient logistics channel for power lithium-ion batteries. It also summarizes and extracts typical experiences in effectively reducing logistics costs for the whole society, such as building cross-domain collaborative alliances to forge consensus, optimizing institutional supply through innovative practices, and targeting cost reduction and efficiency improvement through focused efforts.
In 2025, the New Land-Sea Corridor Company focused on serving "Chongqing Cars Going Global," with a total of 4 batches of "JSQ + Ro-Ro Ship" rail-sea intermodal trains dispatched throughout the year, transporting 4,147 complete vehicles with a cargo value exceeding 400 million yuan. Transport efficiency improved by more than 10%–15%, and costs were reduced by over 8%. Throughout the year, a total of 26,800 TEUs of complete vehicles and KD parts were dispatched via the corridor, representing a growth of 600.4%, with a cargo value of 3.646 billion yuan, a growth of 597.1%. This established an efficient, stable, and economical new cross-border logistics channel for Chongqing's automotive exports to markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other regions.
Next, the company will continue to leverage cross-regional coordination and collaboration, further deepen high-level joint construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, and continuously explore new paths for logistics cost reduction and efficiency improvement. It aims to contribute more significantly to serving the new development pattern of national dual circulation, promoting high-level opening-up in the western region, and supporting the high-quality "going global" of the automotive industry.
