This paper summarizes the development achievements of China's shipbuilding industry in 2025 and the outlook for 2026. In 2025, the international market share of China's three major shipbuilding indicators in terms of deadweight tons exceeded 56%, ranking first in the world for 16 consecutive years. Among them, the international market share of green ship orders reached 69.2. Specific data show that the national shipbuilding completed 53.69 million deadweight tons, the number of hand-held orders increased by 31.5 compared with the same period last year, and the export volume of ship products reached 55.08 billion billion US dollars. Looking forward to 2026, the global shipbuilding market is expected to be stable, and China's shipbuilding completion will remain above 60 million dwt. At the same time, the article pointed out that the industry is facing geopolitical conflicts, supply chain pressure and safety production and other challenges. To this end, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association proposes to focus on three aspects in 2026: first, to "guarantee the delivery of ships" to consolidate safety management and supply chain resilience; second, to increase market development, focus on green intelligent ships and "one-stop solutions" to enhance international management capabilities; third, to cultivate new growth points, develop new offshore equipment, inland electric ships and marine leisure equipment, and promote high-end and green upgrading of the industry.
