The article focuses on the bright performance of Sichuan Guang'an Port in the first quarter of 2024. Its container liner voyage, cargo throughput and container volume all achieved a significant increase of over 65% year-on-year, setting the best start to the first quarter in five years. As a water transport port near the Yangtze River in Northeast Sichuan, Guang'an Port has successfully transformed into a multimodal transport hub connecting railways, highways and aviation after more than five years of development. It has opened 23 domestic and foreign routes and built an efficient logistics network. Local enterprises through its "water and sea transport" and other models, logistics costs significantly reduced, transport time shortened. In the face of unfavorable conditions such as the dry season of the Jialing River, the port innovation adopts the mode of "river-sea intermodal transport + port distribution" to ensure the continuous smooth flow of import and export logistics channels. In addition, Guang'an Port was rated as a national 3A integrated logistics enterprise, marking its professional level of national recognition. By opening up the "out of Sichuan to sea" channel, reducing costs and increasing efficiency, the port is transforming "material circulation" into "industrial activity", providing solid support for the coordinated development and industrial upgrading of Sichuan and Chongqing, and plans to further optimize services to help the high-quality development of the regional economy.
