Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Completes First Chicken Feet Export Deal to China
On August 3, BelTA reported that the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) completed its first export transaction of chicken feet to China, with a total order of 33 tons. The seller was a producer from the Grodno region, and the buyer was a major food importer from Henan Province, who had previously purchased butter through the exchange. According to the exchange's press service, China has strong demand for chicken feet, with annual imports of approximately 500,000 tons, making it the world's largest importer and consumer of chicken feet, which presents significant appeal for Belarusian exporters.
In the first seven months of 2026, Chinese companies imported USD 11.2 million worth of meat products through the exchange, a 1.3-fold increase year-on-year, with import volumes reaching 2,800 tons, up 1.1-fold year-on-year. Among these, beef, offal, and semi-finished meat products were the most popular, collectively accounting for 74% of total meat exports to China.
